Day 9

Hair done, nails done, everything did

Nothing beats a day of pure relaxation and pampering which is exactly what this girl did today. I slept in and my roomie and I were couch potatoes and then we went and had manis and pedis this evening. I am in love with with this new color combo.

Day 3

So day 2 was not necessary to document as I was off for the day and didn't leave my couch or pj's for that matter, and I'm not going to make anyone other than my roommates suffer the sight of me in that state. Which brings us to today and I'm totally feeling the military inspirations this season! Perfect color palates of green, neutral, and black are in my opinion an effortless transition into fall. I am especially in love with these pants, one of my new faves for sure.

After the first shot my roommate made fun of me for tilting my head and made some sort of lude comment so the second photo ensued.

Day 1

Well, it's September 1st and I've officially embarked on my no jeans journey and today proved to be pretty easy as it's still in the 90's here in VA so I'm still loving my favorite summer frocks.

So it begins...

Ok...so I'm not sure if anyone else gets in a fashion rut where they feel like they wear the same things all the time but I'm in one right now and tonight I had a brilliant idea...go 1 month without wearing denim and photo blog the month. I feel like denim has taken over our society and people don't care about how they look. Getting dressed used to be a production and while I'm not saying we should go back to the days of taking 6 hours to get ready but maybe we could put a little effort into our appearance. Yes, jeans are easy but there are so many other options. Don't get me wrong, I love my jeans but if I can inspire just one person to step outside their box of jeans and a tee then I have accomplished my mission. In the next few days I'm going to go through my closet and pull out those skirts and dresses from the back, put the jeans away and wash my heaping pile of laundry in preparation of this little experiment. Day One will be Sept.1st...so excited!
